Large-scale RAW container characterization complex

Purpose:
classification and characterization of radioactive wastes packed in standard ISO semibulk containers, and also in small packages in form of pressed wastes, and plastic containers for ion-exchange resin

Functions:

  •  weighing of RAW containers, up to 30 tons
  • small packages weighing, up to 1,5 tons
  • measurement of gamma-emitting radionuclide activity and composition in RAW packages
  • spatial activity distribution in volume for ISO semibulk container
  • difficult-to-measure nuclide activity by specified nuclide vector
  • waste class confirmation
  • marking and documenting
